Anya Baboyedova’s new work on jute centers around quiet simplicity and sustainability. In her pursuit for new eco-friendly ways to paint, she leans towards plant-based brushes and naturally derived pigments in addition to oil pastels and acrylic paint. Still rooted in abstract expressionism, she seeks to strip away the unnecessary and paint the tranquil energy of her new bucolic surroundings.
